What makes Larking Gowen different?

Business understanding

We take the time to understand your business and its operations and provide relevant and timely advice. Taking the time to tour a business can initiate proactive discussions on operations, diversification projects as well as conversations on how we might achieve success.

Taking the initiative

You focus on running the business. We will focus on where improvements or savings can be made through appropriate tax planning. We stay on top of the latest developments and report these to you.

Importance of tax planning

Timely tax planning for farms and rural businesses can be significant and create tax efficiency when completed correctly. Our team can help advise on succession planning, Inheritance Tax planning and Capital Taxes planning to protect and preserve wealth for future generations.

Clear understanding

Our partners and staff understand farms and rural businesses, and how they can work together in unison to produce a benefit for the business and its proprietors. We aim to make sure all our team members receive an on-farm experience once per annum, each year providing a different focus. This allows us to deliver the best possible understanding of the industry.

Reputation

We aim to be the leading trusted advisor to farms and rural businesses. Delivering for our clients and making sure the way we fulfil our obligations plays a significant role in shaping our trust, credibility, and perception within the marketplace. Trust between a client and their advisors is essential.

Breadth of experience, knowledge and connections

Our five partners have more than 100 years of experience between them, in addition to the knowledge of our wider team members. Each partner and team member is able to provide tailored advice to clients, and we operate as one team to assist and help to produce the best outcome and service.

We are proud to have close links with the Tenant Farming Association (TFA), Country and Land Farming Association (CLA) and the National Farmers Union (NFU).

Geographical coverage

With six offices across East Anglia, the firm is well positioned to service clients throughout the region, and further afield. Geography is not a limiting factor for us, especially with the increase in digital and cloud-based systems.
