Two local accountants become Norfolk Superheroes

Larking Gowen is delighted to announce its participation as a sponsor in the 2024 Norfolk Superhero lineup, securing the position of Performance Sponsor for the first time.

Taking place on Saturday 8 June 2024, the event will raise money for two local charities, Burnham Overy Harbour Trust and the Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue.

The quadrathlon challenge starts with a one-mile swim from Burnham Overy Staithe, followed by a four-mile kayak through the creeks, a 45-mile cycle ride and an eight-mile run across the beach.

With offices based in Fakenham and Holt, we’re thrilled to show our commitment to the North Norfolk community and stand alongside other local businesses, collectively championing this outstanding event.

Representing the firm as a team of two are Ethan Frost, from our Corporate Audit and Advisory team, and Abi Davis, from our Medical accounting team. Ethan and Abi, who have participated in other events sponsored by the firm, such as the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon, stated, “We’re thrilled to be part of this prestigious event, contributing to the excellent causes it supports. This will undoubtedly be our toughest challenge yet, and we look forward to the opportunity to raise funds for these worthy causes.”

Reflecting on his personal experience, Charlie Savory shared, “My brother and I were fortunate to secure places in the 2023 edition of this outstanding event. Although not accustomed to this level of physical activity, I can sincerely say it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.”
