New insolvency legislation for companies in dissolve and facing liquidation
New legislation has just been introduced by the Government providing the Insolvency Service with power to disqualify directors of dissolved companies for up to 15 years.
The legislation is aimed at deterring those directors looking to “bury” companies without the requirement for an independent investigation/enquiry that would take place with a formal liquidation.
