Local businesses to rise up to the challenge!
Corporate Challenge launched for the Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon
Run For All, the UK’s largest not-for-profit events company, are encouraging local businesses and organisations to take part in the brand-new 2024 Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon Corporate Challenge.
Local businesses and organisation’s are invited to work together and get active with the brand new 2024 Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon Corporate Challenge to be crowned champions!
Taking place on Sunday 22nd September, the Corporate Challenge will run alongside the main race. Widely known as the region’s most popular and inclusive half marathon, participants of all abilities and ages will be taking on the challenge, whether it be for fundraising efforts or personal challenge.
Enticing teams of all sizes, backgrounds and abilities, the Corporate Challenge aims to interject friendly competition between team’s and enhance overall wellbeing within organisation’s, while encouraging team members to embrace a more active and healthier lifestyle amongst each other.
Teams are a minimum of four and rather than competing as individuals, teams will work collectively to cross the line in the quickest combined time to be crowned Corporate Challenge Champions of the 2024 Larking Gowen Ipswich Half Marathon.
In addition to being team focused, the Corporate Challenge includes a few extra perks and benefits, including race day kit, team t-shirts and prizes for the winners.
A focus outside of the day to days of working life, the Corporate Challenge also offers the opportunity to develop accountability between team members and a sense of camaraderie as team’s look to train together and work towards a common goal.
Larking Gowen build on their continued support of the Ipswich Half Marathon by taking title sponsorship of the Corporate Challenge.

Attracted by a route that starts and finishes at Portman Road Stadium, the home of Ipswich Town Football Club, the course will take runners via many of the town’s landmarks including Ipswich Waterfront, Holywells Park and the River Orwell.
Runners are encouraged to fundraise for their own charity of choice or one of the event’s partner charities; the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, St Elizabeth Hospice, Lighthouse Women’s Aid, Home Start, Families Together Suffolk, Ipswich Town Foundation, Suffolk Libraries, Suffolk Mind, Brave Futures and RSPCA Suffolk.
The event’s official sponsors include Larking Gowen, Ipswich Town Football Club, Ipswich Borough Council, Suffolk County Council, BBC Radio Suffolk, Ipswich Fit, Run R, Ipswich Jaffa Running Club, High 5, Coopah and Arla Protein, Shokz, Gradwell and Marathon Photos Live.

In partnership with Suffolk Council and Ipswich Borough Council, the events are being organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, the UK’s largest not-for-profit events company. Run For All are behind the successful charity road runs including the most recent inaugural Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon, which raised over £4 million in charitable donations and the renowned Yorkshire Marathon.
