Larking Gowen sponsorship with Suffolk Wildlife Trust

Larking Gowen are thrilled to share their support as Event Sponsors for the trust, sponsoring three events across 2024.

We welcome guests to join us for the third event on 2 August, where Partner, Laurie Hill, will share how Larking Gowen supports arable farming.

Owner Juliet Hawkins and Farm Adviser Maddie Lord will take us on a farm walk looking at different establishment methods for woodland creation; planting, assisted colonisation and natural colonisation.

Topics will cover how different establishment methods can benefit wildlife, ongoing woodland management and funding opportunities, with reference to current schemes such as government grants and new carbon markets.

So far we've had Farms and Rural Business Partner, Bruce Masson share views on woodlands by natural colonisation and getting woods back into management. Next, Partner, Ian Webster, shared how Larking Gowen supports farm diversification and the importance of future-proofing farm businesses. Upcoming we have Partner, Laurie Hill, sharing how Larking Gowen supports arable farming.

Find out more about the valuable work of Suffolk Wildlife Trust here, and book your place on the farm walk below.
