Larking Gowen proud to sponsor Fresh Start new beginnings afternoon tea

Larking Gowen’s Not-for-Profit team and their guests attended the Fresh Start new beginnings (FSNB) afternoon tea fundraising event, which took place at the Mercure Hotel in Norwich on 21 October.

The event’s aim was to raise funds for FSnb and awareness of the valuable work they do as a local children’s charity working throughout Suffolk and Norfolk. They provide therapeutic services to children and young people who have been victims of sexual abuse and offer support to their families.

The event heard from some brave speakers on the day, including Jeremy Indika, founder of ‘Something to Say’ and an inspirational public speaker and survivor of abuse, who shares his story through various artistic media.

Giles Kerkham, Partner and head of Charities and Education at Larking Gowen, said, “Fresh Start new beginnings does extraordinary work but there is much more that can be done to help sexually abused young people, given extra resource. Larking Gowen is so pleased to be able to support Fresh Start new beginnings and this event. We hope that all enjoyed the tea and gained a deeper understanding of the charity.”
