Larking Gowen is delighted to sponsor Brighten The Corners

We’re delighted to support Brighten The Corners (BTC), a not-for-profit organisation, in Ipswich, that runs live music venues, studios, an annual festival and training programmes.

By supporting marginalised young people in Ipswich and Suffolk through live music, education and employment initiatives, the organisation aims to improve lives and boost the town’s role in the UK music scene.

Becky Ames and Laurie Hill, both Partners in our Business team, are looking forward to working with BTC.

“The work that BTC does in Ipswich, empowering young people and adults to thrive, links with Larking Gowen’s commitment to support young people within the community,” said Laurie. “We’re delighted to have this opportunity to give them our support through our sponsorship in 2025.

“One way that our support will benefit the charity is through live music, education skills and training. These opportunities will have an economic impact in the community though employment volunteering, ticket price and local spend.”

Joe Bailey, CEO of Brighten The Corners, said, “2025 looks like a really exciting year for us with the development of The Baths venue, having St Stephen’s go from strength to strength with the addition of a Cafe Bar later in the year. Our festival and gigs bring audiences from all over the UK to Ipswich and we're proud to be spearheading the musical output of our area. We look forward to our partnership with Larking Gowen and adding value to their organisation, staff and the wider community.”
