Following a year of fundraising for their two chosen charities Larking Gowen announce a great result for CLIC Sargent and Alzheimer’s Society
The major regional independent chartered accounting partnership and one of the UK’s top 40 accountancy firms, Larking Gowen has this month announced a great result supporting two of the UK’s leading charities, CLIC Sargent and Alzheimer’s Society.
Known for its philanthropic work, staff at Larking Gowen have raised an impressive £6,294.90 in the year since they started supporting the two charities.
The staff raised money in a number of ways including bake sales, dress down days - themes included – Spring, the Olympics, Christmas jumpers.
They also launched a Larking Gowen calendar, which involved staff taking beautiful scenic shots across East Anglia and the best were then chosen to go into the calendar, which was then sold to staff and clients. They also held a firm wide quiz and a book sale.
In addition to raising money for CLIC Sargent and Alzheimer’s Society, Larking Gowen also continued to support Children in Need, Comic Relief, Jeans for Genes, St Martins Housing Trust and also Wear it Wild (with a lot of animal onesies were brought out for that one).
Alzheimer's Society is the UK’s leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers, helping the 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK today.
Jon Woolston, Managing Partner said “we are delighted with the amount of money raised through our staff’s activities. We are immensely proud to support local causes and the effort our staff have put in to these initiatives.
The charities were chosen by our staff as causes close to their hearts and many of them know someone or have been touched personally by the causes these two charities support”.
