Exam Success for Lee Green
Lee Green, Assistant Manager in our Business Recovery Team, is celebrating his success in industry examinations which has also seen him achieve national recognition. Lee has passed all three of the Joint Insolvency Examination Board’s (JIEB) examinations at the first attempt and collected two prizes. He came first for students from firms with three or fewer Licensed Insolvency Practitioners to take the R3* Small Practices Prize and he also came third overall to take the Leonard Curtis prize.

Banking Crisis May Impact on Farmland Prices
According to chartered accountants and business advisors, Larking Gowen, the banking crisis may still have a further and unforeseen impact for the UK farming industry. News broke recently that the Co-Operative Bank is likely to show a loss of over £2 billion when it reports its results in March. The Co-Operative Society has announced that it will be selling off its entire farming business which covers some 50,000 acres spread over thirteen UK locations, and which comprises both owned and rented land.
Promotion for Michael Morter
Chartered accountants and business advisors, Larking Gowen, has promoted Michael Morter to the position of manger in its tax advisory team. He is part of the team which helps people plan their affairs in the light of tax issues, such as inheritance tax or capital gains, as well as advising businesses and trusts. Mr Morter is also involved with the internal training of staff.
