Tourism survey results announced
The region's tourism leaders gathered this week to hear the results of East Anglia's largest Tourism and Leisure Business Survey at two events hosted by Larking Gowen.
The annual Tourism & Leisure Business Survey, undertaken by Larking Gowen throughout Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, has developed and grown to become a well-respected source of tourism statistical data. Although the survey is entirely independent, it has the full support of Visit Norfolk, Visit Suffolk, Visit Essex and Visit East Anglia.
The events echoed the survey's findings, that the region's tourism businesses need to work together to make the UK the destination of choice. Chris Scargill, Larking Gowen Tourism Partner, concluded, "While inevitably we compare ourselves to the continent, we need to remind those holidaying in the UK about the fantastic range of destinations we have to offer here."
We are grateful to the County Brands, the local Destination Marketing Organisations and our ambassadors for their support and promotion of the survey.
We have once again been supported in the production of this report by our commercial partners so we would also like to thank Adnams, Camplings Linen Services, Hugh J Boswell Financial Services and Howes Percival.
