Larking Gowen holds Crazy Golf Challenge in aid of Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk and St Elizabeth Hospice.

Teams from 18 local businesses took part in a crazy golf challenge at Ufford Park Hotel in Woodbridge on Tuesday raising over £1,500 in support of Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk, the next big art trail organised by St Elizabeth Hospice. Happening in 2019, the trail marks the 30th anniversary of children’s favourite, Elmer the Elephant, and St Elizabeth Hospice.

“As sponsors of Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk, we’re delighted to support St Elizabeth Hospice and all the amazing work they do,” said Becky Ames, of chartered accountants Larking Gowen, who hosted the event. “There was plenty of friendly rivalry between the teams and some spectacular putts. I’d like to thank all the businesses for their generous support, especially Barker Gotelee Solicitors and Conatus Financing Solutions for providing the welcome drinks, and to congratulate the team from Ashtons Legal for a well-deserved win. They are now the proud holders of the 2018 Larking Gowen Crazy Golf Business Challenge trophy,” Becky added.

Larking Gowen are part of Elmer’s Early Bird Herd, a select group of companies who have pledged to fundraise for the hospice in addition to their initial sculpture sponsorship. All of the money raised by this Crazy Golf Challenge will go towards Larking Gowen’s Elmer’s Big Parade Suffolk fundraising tally, helping to raise vital funds to help the hospice improve life for people living with a progressive or terminal illness.
